Yes! The tent fumigation process releases chemicals that can be harmful or in some cases, deadly to humans and pets if they are exposed to the pesticides at any point in the tenting process. Before beginning, a fumigation expert should thoroughly inspect the home for any left behind pets and remind property owners that food and medicine left inside the home during fumigation can no longer be used. Even though our experts at Pest Management, Inc. have the routine perfected, we still have each member follow a checklist of safety procedures to make sure nothing slips through the cracks.
During the service, all humans and their pets need to find other accommodations outside of the home. Sometimes, this can be for a week. Additionally, you won’t be able to access anything inside your home while it is being fumigated. After the tent is removed, the home is aired out for at least another 24 hours before anyone is allowed to enter. After this technicians will continue to check chemical levels in the home until it is safe to enter but usually within 24 hours, the home is safe.
If you have questions regarding the safety of tent fumigation, Pest Management, Inc. is more than happy to answer any questions. We put customer safety first and want you to feel comfortable throughout the entire process knowing that your home is in good hands.
